Chocolate Cakes are a staple in pastry shops and each time I visited one, my eyes would travel straight to a nicely frosted Chocolate Truffle Cake or a death by Chocolate Cake, but that was way back when I was not into baking and stuff. When I started baking myself, my visits to pastry shops gradually reduced and now my only wish was to bake all those cakes that I saw in shops. So today I shall share my Best Ever Chocolate Cake/Chocolate Truffle Cake recipe here on the blog. I have made this cake numerous times but did not share it here yet.
Its time for some fusion dessert today and whats better than everyone’s favourite Doughnuts! Are you not nuts about doughnuts? Well I definitely am and also know that most of you are so I fused our humble motichoor with the extravagant doughnuts which landed up as a perfect Diwali dessert. Well, I can never think of becoming one, what I can do is recreate regular desserts into vegan form and dig in. And here I am with this vegan chocolate cake recipe which is not only simple to make but also as delicious as a regular chocolate cake is. Can you believe it that this cake is totally dairy free! I’m into a lot of eggless baking but this cake remains my favourite as it does not call for any dairy ingredient plus this is moistest and spongiest cake I’ve ever made. If you are a baker, the name “Madeleine” may not be unheard. For others the name may sound like a complicated confectionery but trust me, it is not as tricky as you think and you can easily make these beautiful bite sized dessert at home. Let me tell you that this thing may look and sound really fancy but the French madeleine recipe just needs your regular sponge cake ingredients, yes the technique is a bit different and once you master that you can make madeleines every now and then just like me.
